FAQ's

Q: What is the Refund Policy?

Refund Policy:
15% OF THE COST OF YOUR CAMP IS NON-REFUNDABLE.  THE REMAINING BALANCE WILL BE REFUNDED SHOULD YOU REQUEST A REFUND IN WRITING UP UNTIL 7 DAYS BEFORE THE START OF YOUR CAMP.  NO REFUNDS WILL BE PROVIDED WITHIN 7 DAYS PRIOR TO THE START OF YOUR CAMP OR LATER.

Q: Where will camps be held?

All camps will be held on the beautiful campus of Southern Methodist University.

Q: Can we check-in early?

Typically we cannot allow early check due to efficient supervision and residential move in (for residential) needs. If there are certain circumstances that will not allow you to be at registration then please contact Eve Petrucelli to discuss options.

Q: Can we check-in late?

Yes, but please communicate with Eve Petrucelli to set up a check in time and process.

Q: If I come with a group/friend, will we be on the same team?

We do our best to accommodate both this scenario and dorm requests. Both parties need to agree on the roommate situation. Please do not request someone when registering online unless both parties have agreed ahead of time.  We cannot make any guarantees on roommates, but certainly want the campers to have the best possible experience and we realize that is typically along side their friends!

Q: Will I need to bring money?

All meals will be provided in the dining hall for Residential campers during camp. You may bring money for the camp store.

Day Campers may bring money to purchase snacks, drinks, and SMU-related gear as well as other items from the Camp store daily.

Q: What should we bring to camp?

Pair of soccer cleats, pair of flat shoes (one of the fields is a turf field if you want to bring turf shoes, but it's not necessary), shin guards, soccer socks, athletic shorts and shirts for each day, bed linens, towels, pillow, alarm clock, personal items/toiletries, sunscreen, goalkeeper gloves (goalkeepers only), a soccer ball if you choose not to purchase one, and a great attitude! This is also listed under the "Info" tab on the home page.

Q: Is there supervision in residence halls?

The campers have 24 hour supervision. There are coaches on each floor and an athletic trainer always on call in case of emergency. The university also has hall managers at the front desk and campus police always on call.

Q: Is there an Airport Shuttle?

Yes, please refer to the 'Info' tab for full information.

Q: Can Parents stay and watch sessions?

Absolutely, parents are always welcome to watch!

Q: Are Parents allowed to visit campers in the dorms?

Parent's are welcome to come visit campers during down times in the lobby of the dorms, with the exception of move in and move out (and of course emergency/illness situations).  We prefer for staff and campers to be the only people on the floors of the dorms. This ensures the safety of the campers.
